Color-coordinating your clothes will add a touch of style to the way you look even if all you wear is jeans and T-shirts. And the best thing about it is you don’t need to buy all new, “colorfully correct” wardrobe – you can easily learn to coordinate what you already have. Let me share a few simple tips with you.
White goes with everything. You can wear white and green, white and orange, white and any color imaginable. Don’t add any more colors, and you will be safe.
Black does not go with everything. Black and brown, for example, will create a dark, gloomy impression.
Red and green only go together for Christmas.
Matching the color of your shirt/T-shirt with the color of your shoes usually works very well. An example: blue shirt, white pants, blue tennis shoes.
Make sure your outfit is consistent. Yellow shirt and blue jeans will look nice, especially with blue or yellow shoes, but you don’t need a green hat.
Mixing more than 3 colors is always tricky. Keep it simple, you don’t want to look like a rainbow.
Ladies: do you wear hair bands? They come in colors as well, pay attention when you grab one and put it on.
