One or 99... Age doesn't matter when it comes to enjoying NYC's best toy shops.

FAO SCHWARZ

NYC's oldest toy store was made famous by the movie Home Alone 2. A fantasy world of stuffed animals, high-quality telescopes, and Ferrari toys, Fao Schwarz is also famous among collectors --This is the place to visit for one-of-a-kind toys like the $12,500 Moritzz Gottschalk miniature dollhouse or the $6,500 antique Reed Ocean boat. Here you can also visit the Newborn Nursery to adopt a baby doll, visit the Rec Room to try your hand at air hockey table, or ride in one of several rides on our Motion Simulators. If you have money to spare, get your children the $18,900 Grand Victorian Mansion playhouse, complete with a fireplace mantel, an upstairs loft, stained glass windows, and a wraparound porch.

Toys "R" Us Times Square

Where else but NYC can you find a toy store featuring an indoor 60-foot Ferris Wheel and a 21-foot dinosaur that roars and moves every time you walk nearby? Be warned, though –Lines to get on the Ferris Wheel can be up to three hours long. Need a break? Head to the candy shop, visit the 4,000-square-foot Barbie dollhouse, or stick around the Leggo® table to play architect.

Halloween Adventure

Enter a mysterious land where Halloween never ends --10,000 square feet of magic, costumes, and makeup sure to delight both children and grown-ups. In fact, the store is the main source of costumes for theatrical companies and acting schools in the city. From the basic wig to the elaborated 16th-century knight armor, this place has it all.
