Capri pants are still trendy and cute, but why not turn them up a notch?
Pick an old pair of jeans, measure and cut off the ends, then sew on some
great, vibrant fabric – silk, plaids, you name it. You now have your very own
uniquely designed Capri pants.
Old jean jackets make the best purses.
Take that jean jacket off the shelf – not this season’s newest, but the one
you have from high school – and cut off the pockets or cut out the back. Sew
the pockets together or fold the back into a rectangle or square, and stitch
the sides leaving the top open. Add some cool fabric as the handle (or your
man’s old tie). If you are really creative, iron on some cool patches for a fun
effect.
And old jeans make the best skirts.
Jeans never go out of style, but they can get some wear and tear over the
years. Rip the seams out of an old pair, cut until knee length, and then sew up
the outer sides. Then, cut up the left over jean material to fit in the center
of the skirt and sew up. It looks very chic and you’ll feel very artsy
strolling down the street.
