Child Exploitation Online: My Experience Posing As an Online Teen.

   It is truly a shame that parents have to be so rigid with their children when it comes to their online experiences. The internet is a dark place where people can use their anonymity to victimize others. The internet can also be a wonderful place where information is shared, fandoms are explored, and imaginations dance wildly. It felt as if a new world had opened up to me when I first logged online as a college student 10 years ago. I was like a sponge soaking up oodles of information. Before I knew it, hours passed from when I would first log on. Needlessly to say my first encounters with the internet were extremely positive, however what kinds of experiences that children have online fortunately or unfortunately lies with the parents.
