Medication is successful with treating cases of vertigo. However, drugs are more suited for individuals who experience frequent, longer bouts of vertigo. In additional, therapy is effective with improving balance and restoring normal functions to the vestibular system. The purpose of this sort of therapy is to teach sufferers techniques that they can do at home to improve their condition. Finally, vertigo sufferers may have a procedure in which tiny particles are removed from the canals within their inner ear. The removal of these particles usually results in restored balance.
