Many people declare this to be their favorite Bond movie as it so closely follows the plot of Ian Fleming’s original novel. Lazenby does a good job of doing the seemingly impossible – following in Sean Connery’s footsteps. Great care was taken to ensure the continuity of the series – Bond is seen cleaning out his desk and finding various items from the previous films. And Bond, after a fight scene on a beach at the beginning of the film declares: “This never happened to the other fellow!” And if you have not seen the film, or read the book, the film’s unexpected ending will surely shock you.
