When you get out of the tub or shower, don’t rub your legs dry with the towel; pat them gently, only until you get the excess drops off. Leaving them a little bit damp and giving them a good coating with a rich lotion will seal in every available bit of moisture for the softest legs possible.
Avoid moisturizers containing AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), because they can be a little too harsh for freshly shaved skin and may cause irritation. When the first coat of lotion sinks in, apply a second coat.
Hair removal is always going to be something we wish we didn’t have to do. But until someone really does invent a product that is truly painless and hassle-free (I’ll get right on that!), at least we know what to do to get a silky shave.
