Higher Education Loan Programme The Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP) formerly the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS), is a tertiary education funding scheme introduced in 1989 by the Australian Commonwealth Government. The Commonwealth subsidises the cost of tertiary education for Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents. The amount an individual pays for tertiary education is his or her Higher Education Contribution. HECS is jointly administered by the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Canada Student Loans The Canada Student Loans Program is a Human Resources and Skills Development Canada programme which promotes accessibility to Canada's post-secondary education institutes by allowing Canadians who demonstrate a financial need for access to student loans and grants. The programme was created in 1964 by the Canada Student Loans Act.

National Student Educational Fund The National Student Educational Fund (NSEF) was founded in the 1970s in Washington, D.C. as a non-profit research group. Founder Layton Olson created the group using staff from the National Student Lobby (NSL) and the National Student Association (NSA). NSEF issued several reports and books on issues related to students and post-secondary education. Later, after NSA and NSL merged into the United States Student Association (USSA), NSEF was absorbed into USSA.
Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Statens lånekasse for utdanning) provides loans and grants to Norwegian students for their education.
