Leaving Las Vegas Leaving Las Vegas is an MGM film made in 1995 with Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue directed by Mike Figgis. It is based on a novel by John O'Brien.
Two weeks after the production of the film had started, O'Brien committed suicide. A halt of the project was considered, but work on the film was continued as an in memoriam of sorts.

The story follows its protagonist, Raoul Duke, and his attorney, Dr. Gonzo, as they descend on Las Vegas to chase the American dream through a drug-induced haze. Duke and Gonzo were sendups of Thompson himself and Chicano lawyer Oscar Zeta Acosta respectively.
Las Vegas Outlaws The Only Season: The Las Vegas Outlaws were a team in the short-lived XFL in the Western Division with the Los Angeles Xtreme, San Francisco Demons and the Memphis Maniax. Among the team's players were the XFL's most well-known, Rod Smart (later with the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles, now with the Carolina Panthers), who went by the nickname of "He Hate Me", which appeared on the back of his jersey. He was originally going to put "They Hate Me", but there wasn't enough room. The Outlaws competed in the XFL's only season, held in the spring of 2001. They finished in 4th place in the division with a record of 4-6.
Fiel A La Vega Fiel a la Vega is a Rock en Español band from Puerto Rico. Ricky Laureano and Tito Auger formed the band in 1994. After adding Pedro and Jorge Arraiza, plus Papo Román, the band released their eponymous album Fiel a la Vega in 1996, spawning hits "Salimos de Aquí", "El Wanabí", and "Las Flores de Emilio". The follow-up acoustic set "El Concierto Acústico" (1997), recorded live, in which they played acoustic versions of the songs in "Fiel a la Vega", boasted covers from latin American artists such as Roy Brown, Leon Gieco, Silvio Rodriguez, and Haciendo Punto en Otro Son. In 1998, amidst relentless touring they released "A Quien Pueda Interesar", now turned national stars they became the first Puerto Rican band to headline and sell out the Roberto Clemente Coliseum. They released Tres with EMI Latin (their only CD with a major label) in 1999.

Originally the team had been based in Chicago as the Chicago Skyliners in 2000-2001 and the start of 2001-2002. The team played in the Thomas Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas 51s The Las Vegas 51s (formerly the Las Vegas Stars) is a minor-league baseball team. They are the AAA affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They play at Cashman Field (capacity 9,334) in Las Vegas, Nevada, US. The team competes in the Pacific Coast League.
The 51s take their name from Area 51, located elsewhere in Nevada.
